MONEY TOOL

Currency Converter

Convert an amount between currencies using the exchange rate you enter. This keeps the calculation transparent and avoids presenting unverified live rates as fact.

CONVERSION INPUTS

Enter your conversion

Enter the amount and exchange rate. The rate means how many target-currency units equal one unit of the source currency.

Rate assumption: Enter the rate you want to use. For example, a rate of 3.75 means 1 unit of the source currency equals 3.75 units of the target currency.

Understanding currency conversion

Currency conversion multiplies the amount in the source currency by the exchange rate expressed in target-currency units per one source-currency unit.

IMPORTANT ASSUMPTIONS

What this calculator does not include

This calculator does not automatically include bank fees, card fees, exchange-rate spreads, transfer charges, taxes or provider markups. Your actual received amount can therefore differ from a simple exchange-rate calculation.

How conversion is calculated

The result is the amount you enter multiplied by the exchange rate you supply. The rate is interpreted as units of the target currency for one unit of the source currency. For example, 100 source units at a rate of 3.75 produce 375 target units.

This tool does not fetch a live market rate. It does not include provider spreads, card network markups, fees or taxes unless you account for them separately in your own comparison. Confirm the actual rate and total charge with the bank, card issuer or transfer provider before making a transaction.
